THE BIG DRAW ARTS CELEBRATION
Join us for the Big Draw Arts Celebration, featuring an exciting array of talented street chalk artists and live performances on May 9, 2015 in downtown Pleasanton from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Here's how you can participate: Become an Artist: We are now accepting applications for street chalk artists. Become a Volunteer: This is a BIG festival and it needs a BIG group of volunteers, especially on the day of the event. CLICK HERE for details and an application. Pianos on Main Street, From May 1 to May 15! Talented pianists will be playing these pianos on the day of The Big Draw on May 9th and throughout the week. So come hear them play or sit down and give us a concert. We'd love to hear you! Take A Seat Poetry Chairs on Main StREET, FROM May 1 to May 9: Chairs will be created in a partnership between local poets and artists, including this year's Pleasanton Adult and Teen Poet Laureates. All chairs will be available for purchase through silent auction the day of The Big Draw, with proceeds going to Arts in the Schools and other participating groups. Artful Bouquets at The Harrington Art Gallery, from May 9 to May 9: Floral artists will be creating their interpretation of several works that will be on display at the gallery as part of the Fresh Works Exhibit. So come and see how a floral designer can create a work out of flowers and greenery to go with a painting called "Squirrels Like to Sleep" and other works of art.
