Kazakhstani Teams up with Pleasanton's Own Georgian in Four-Handed Piano
Concert at Amador Theater
Tamriko Siprashvili, director and owner of Inspire Academy
of Music and Arts, and Temirzhan Yerzhanov will be performing their first two-piano
concert on January 24, 2015 at 8 PM at the Amador Theater in Pleasanton. All
proceeds from this concert will benefit the Arts in the Schools Program in
Pleasanton.
Entitled "A Night to Remember," the concert will include the Bay Area premier
of La Fantasie by Czechoslovakian composer Martinu (written in 1925), Schumann-Debussy
selections, Ravel, Rachmaninov, and Saint-Saens.
Tamriko Siprashvili has performed concerts throughout Europe, Russia, Georgia,
Chili, Argentina, Canada, and in the United States as a soloist and chamber
music performer. She played with venerable orchestras such as Leipzig Gewandhaus,
Zwickau Philharmonishes, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, and Georgian Philharmony
Orchestra. She has also performed in such halls as Berlin Konzerthaus, Moscow
Big Hall and Small Hall Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Rachmaninoff Hall, Gnessin
Concert Hall, Georgian Philharmonic, Bela Bartok National Concert Hall in Budapest,
Moscow and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Halls, Dvorak Concert Hall. Tamriko
Siprashvili made appearances on Radio Russia, Voice of America, Deutsche Radio
Berlin, and on Italian Radio. She has worked with Nimbus Records and XCP in
France to produce CDs. Tamriko is a Steinway artist.
Temirzhan Yerzhanov has
toured in 12 countries in solo, chamber music and with Moscow Radio Tchaikovsky
Symphony, Zwickau Philharmonishes, Sacramento Philharmonic, San Luis Obispo
Symphony, Vogtland Philharmonie, The Symphony Orchestra of India. He has appeared
in prestigious venues such as London Wigmore Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Leipzig
Gewandhaus, Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Paris Salle Gaveau, New York Carnegie
Weill Recital, Moscow and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Halls, Deutsche Radio
Berlin, Hong Kong Radio, Radio Russia. A graduate and former faculty member
of his alma mater he became an international educator and opera conductor.
He was awarded ʻBest Performance of 2007ʼ title by San Francisco Classical
Voice and ʻYenbek Sinirgen Qairatkeri”, the highest title in his native Kazakhstan.
"To my knowledge, no two of the few International Schumann Gold Medalists
in the world have ever performed a concert like this," said Dave Wright of
the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council. "It will be a sell-out," declared Charlotte
Severin, the event chair, "so people should get their tickets right away."
